Day 1

Arrive in Bogotá and transfer to the hotel of your preference.

Day 2

Climb up the Monserrate Mountain: With an altitude of 3,152 meters, the Cerro de Monserrate offers an incredible view of the capital. At its top is the Sanctuary of Monserrate, a church with a figure of Christ of the seventeenth century that attracts pilgrims and tourists from all over the world throughout the year. There you will also find several souvenir shops and refreshments. To ascend you can take the funicular or the cable car.

Stroll by the architecture of La Candelaria and the Bolivar's Plaza: History and art in one of the most beautiful areas of the Colombian capital. Learn about the past of Bogotá's most historic neighborhood with this walking tour through its colonial streets. Then you can take a walk through the Plaza de Bolívar, in the heart of the city. Filled with pigeons, it is the perfect place to observe people. Around it are the buildings of the National Capitol, the Palace of Justice, the Primate Cathedral of Bogotá and the Mayor's Office.

Visit the extraordinary Gold Museum: It is home to one of the largest pre-Hispanic gold collections in the world. After a decade of renovations, the museum reopened in 2008. Over 55,000 pieces of gold and other materials from all pre-Hispanic cultures in Colombia are exhibited there.

Transfer a shopping center situated in the stylish Zona Rosa district: The Andino Shopping Center is the heart of one of the favorite areas for Bogota and foreigners, and is recognized as the most exclusive shopping center in the city. The privileged location, environment, comfort, security, excellent service and wide range of national and international recognized stores, make it the best choice for your purchases and entertainment.

Day 3

Travel by train to the Salt Cathedral in Zipaquira: Located about 50 kilometers north of Bogotá, this underground church is built in the salt mine of Zipaquirá and attracts thousands of visitors every month. The Salt Cathedral is considered one of the architectural gems of Colombia and one of the most important tourist sites near Bogota. The train ride from Bogota is available on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the other days the connection is vehicular.

Visit the lake of Guatavita and know the legend of the Dorado. Myth or Reality? Located at 3,100 meters above the level from the sea, you can find in the municipality of Sesquilé one of the sacred lagoons of the Muiscas, where the legendary rite of El Dorado, ritual of investiture of the new Zipa, there you can count on a magnificent connection of both flora and of fauna, taking a walk contemplative.       

Return to your Hotel.

Day 4

Air transfer to Medellin and transfer to the hotel of your preference

City Tour (Paisa town, Botero Sculpture Park, Park of Wishes and more):  Visit the most important places of Medellín from a local perspective, discover the sculptures of Fernando Botero in the Plaza Botero, visit Pueblito Paisa, a scale sample of a traditional town of Antioquia, walk through the park of wishes and meet some of the buildings emblematic of the city.

Day 5

Visit to Arvi Park and get to know the culture of flowers: Discover the Arvi Eco Tourist Regional Park located in the township of Santa Elena municipality of Medellín, while traveling in the Arvi Tourist Cable of 4.6 km in length, enjoy the panoramic views of the city and the landscapes of the Eco Arvi Tourist Park. Know the elaboration of silletas, its history, anecdotes, the Silletera Culture visiting a peasant families of silletero origin resident in rural area of the Santa Elena Township declared Cultural Patrimony of the Nation.

Day 6

Visit the impressive monolith in Guatape: The municipality of Guatapé is located 79 km. from the city of Medellín in eastern Antioquia, there you will find a monolith 220 meters high that to ascend it is required to overcome more than 700 steps, this impressive rock is surrounded by 2,262 hectares of flooded land that form one of the most important hydroelectric country; The traditions and the coloring of its history is represented in the zocalos of the facades of houses and public buildings.

Transfer a shopping center situated in the Poblado district: It is considered an exclusive place to enjoy and buy at the same time, El Tesoro Shopping Park is a representative of features such as fashion, design and good taste which have historically been very important and determinant in the city of Medellin. You will not know when you are in the commercial center and when in an exuberant garden, its architecture blends the natural environment and modernity in a balanced way.

Day 7

Air transfer to Cartagena and transfer to the hotel of your preference

Explore the historic center in the walled city, strolling past Convento de La Popa, Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, the churche and Convento San Pedro de Claver and bronze Botero sculptures: Walk through history starting in two of the most spectacular sites, the Castle of San Felipe de Barajas built between 1536 and 1657 has a strategic place to observe the invasions of the city by land or by the bay of Cartagena and the magnificent convent of La Popa that dominates the city from a height of 145 meters built in 1606. After that, you will visit the walls that enclose the historic center with more than 8 kilometers in length and finally you will make a small tour in the walled city of Cartagena in order to discover its streets, the amazing monuments and Bolero’s sculptures, parks, squares, churches and interesting place.

Day 8

Maritime transfer to the Rosario islands. (Encanto or Majagua Islands): Located near the island of Barú, approximately 45 minutes by fast boat, the Rosario islands are surrounded by crystal clear waters and abundant corals of surprising colors. With an area of 120,000 hectares, the Rosario Islands are protected by an underwater platform that is one of the most important ecosystems of the Atlantic coast. In total there are 27 islands, this place offers excellent places of quiet accommodation and a multitude of activities for all tastes. Majagua and Del Encanto are two of the most exclusive islands of this complex.

Beach day and Rest: Comments are over, it's time to relax and forget everything

Day 9

Visit the sites that inspired Colombian author and Nobel laureate Gabriel García Márquez: Gabriel García Márquez invented a literary style called magical realism and many of his novels are based in Cartagena. During our walk through the center of the city, you will know the places where some of his novels took place. On the other hand, the biography of the Colombian journalist and writer who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982 will be explained in detail.

Visit the Museum Palace of Inquisition: Located around the park of Bolívar, the Palace of the Inquisition is splendid with its baroque style and wooden balconies with a great splendor. This important construction was completed in 1776 and is the main witness of the power that was granted to the Catholic Church, which was in force before independence in 1896.

Visit the Naval Museum of the Caribbean: This museum was inaugurated to highlight the 500 years of the discovery of America. The building was previously a military site and retains very old elements such as galleries, which we can see in a courtyard, and a room for private events. Just outside the wall is the Plaza de las Armas with its cannons and its artillery on display.

Helicopter overflight in Cartagena: fly over the walled city and get a new perspective of the old fortification and its defense system. Departures only for groups of at least 5 people.
