City Tour with Monserrate

Description:

Meeting in the hotel lobby at the selected time to start the city tour, we will start with a tour of the Candelaria, historical and cultural center of Bogotá, there we will visit the Gold Museum (closed on Mondays) the cultural apple bank of the Republic, entry to the Mint and Botero Museum (closed on Tuesdays). We will walk through the Plaza de Bolívar to see the primate cathedral, the Lievano Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Shrine of the Tabernacle, the Capitol, the House of the Communards and the Museum House on July 20. We finish with the ascent to the Monserrate hill, at its top, the sanctuary of Señor Caído de Monserrate, a place of pilgrimage for nationals and foreigners.

Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirá

We will go through the savannah of Bogotá towards Zipaquirá 40 km away; a town of high indigenous value dominated in ancient times by the ancient Muisca chieftain: Zipa. We enter the Salt Cathedral, an architectural work built inside the salt mines, 180 meters deep, which houses myths and legends of the region and the miners. It is a unique place that has become a religious center and is one of the most famous Catholic sanctuaries in the country that commemorates the Viacrucis of Jesus Christ, attracting pilgrims and tourists.
